Back with an anthem filled with defiance and power rising star Allegra arrives with “DO WHAT I WANT”. Boasting an irresistibly feet-moving hand-clap beat and luscious vocal harmonies, Allegra weaves in summer-tinged house-pop beats with colour choruses for repeat button-breaking tune. Forging her own path with this tune, the singer-songwriter is making an impassioned statement with this tune, breaking away from her innovative covers of Billie Eilish’s “Everything I Wanted”.

“I think it shows confidence.” Allegra candidly tells us. “I wrote this one during the lockdown, as well. It’s about being in a confined space and it taught me about my priorities, which is obviously my music. The song is about deciding to do things a certain way, because that’s what makes me happy.”

With previous addictive hit single “All About Us”, breaking number one on various iTunes chart, it’s fair to say big things are to come Allegra’s way and we can’t wait to see what else the singer has in store for us.

UK pop artist Allegra is releasing her new single “Do What I Want” via Radikal Records. Premiered with Wonderland Magazine who calls the track a “feel-good bop”, the single is the second release from Allegra, following up her hit single “All About Us”.

Produced by Scott Stoddart of the hit-making Audiofreaks stable and mixed/mastered by Grammy Award winning engineer Wez Clarke, “Do What I Want” is an irresistibly catchy impassioned statement of defiance, from a young woman forging her own path in the cutthroat music industry.

“Do What I Want” is the perfect representation of a girl coming into the industry with a vision that she’s not willing to sacrifice. That vision is full of confidence, attitude and plans for a pop world take-over… Allegra blesses us with feel-good bop, filled with an irresistibly catchy hand-clap beat and house-inspired melodies. The singer’s smooth and effortless vocals glide over the crisp colourful production.” — Wonderland Magazine

Allegra’s debut single “All About Us” was a sleeper hit, having reached #7 on Billboard’s Dance Chart and racking #1 positions on iTunes including Italy, Canada, and #2 in Music Week’s Top 100 Club Chart. Produced by Audiofreak’s Scott Stodart (DASCO, Namie Amuro, Monsta X), the single propelled the 18 year-old singer into the UK’s mainstream, earning her the cover of Rollacoaster Magazine and plaudits from DJ Times who called the song “bold and dynamic that highlights the modernity of this young artist.” Celeb Mix hailed, “The track, with its laid back vibe and infectiously catchy melody, is a much-needed dose of summer to get us through these dark winter months.”

A musician since childhood, Allegra was classically trained in choir and violin but secretly dreamed of growing up to be a pop star. “I was always in my room, listening to Rihanna and Beyonce and just signing to my mirror,” she tells Rollacoaster. Signed at 14, she spent a good chunk of her teen years honing her sound and training her voice. Now, at 18, she’s ready to tackle the mainstream. With one single a certified chart topper in “All About Us”, a new single ready to launch (“Do What I Want”) and more music on the way, Allegra is ready.

“it’s clear that this soon-to-be superstar is one you should be looking out for. Her rise is set to be meteoric.” — FAME Magazine

“It is Allegra’s sugar sweet tones and her dynamic stage presence that make her such a force to be reckoned with.” — Essentially Pop

“She may be 18, but Allegra means business” — Wonderland
